Welcome to day 2 of my March 2012 One-a-day jewelry challenge. This is a copper leaf pendant with an apatite gemstone and sterling silver hanging charm.
**This piece is a giveaway choice.** So I've been asked how much preparation I do for these March One-a-day challenges. Do I plan it all out and draw up a month's worth of designs in advance? Oh my gosh. No. I wake up most mornings without a plan and just dig in. And the truth is, if I had it all planned I wouldn't learn much. For example, I'm getting to know a brand new tool right now... each piece helps me discover what's possible/fun, which leads me to projects I couldn't have thought up earlier. So no, I don't know what tomorrow's piece will be! Check my March 1 post for details about the giveaway, and how you can enter.

Lovely work Sue! I think the cuff is brilliant with the combo of geometric angles and texture (but still practical for wear). Copper is one jewelry metal which is making a comeback in a BIG way due to the record high price of gold and silver right now. I'm excited to see what your one a day journey inspires in you! Keep up the fab job :o)

I love this leaf piece! Karla's definitely right, copper is trending now, but it has always been a favourite of mine. Like a quirky cousin to the standard gold & silver. The liner aspects of the corrugation are nicely offset by the gentle curves of the leaf, well done composition!

Hi Leah, it's so nice to hear from you. That is high praise coming from you... your designs are so pretty! I wish you all the best in your hiatus and new endeavors. We do get over there occasionally so I'll definitely message you next time. It would be so much fun to get together and catch up.
